you know the worst part of today’s episode of Adventure Time?
is the fact that all that pain and fear that Finn was feeling while he was wearing the crown was the same feeling that Simon/Ice King gets every time, and maybe, all of that was so much that he started going insane, creating this goofy persona who just wants a princess to be with him and hold his hand

okay…. so i saw a really good breakdown of the new adventure time episodes by a person on the landofooo.com forum and i need to share it because it kinda ties everything together after a half hour of going O.oOO.oo.oO,o constantly
SPOILERS
Finn- the last human on earth after a huge war that ended most all human life, and mutated every other being into what there is now, was found in the woods as a baby
Jake- a dog who rolled in a puddle of mud to gain “magic” powers, probably a mutant, he is ok with the idea of his death and…
I liked the season 5 premier of Adventure Time for a lot of reasons.
But the main reason is to see exactly how the Ice Crown affects it’s wearer, I assume it has the same effect on anyone who wears it, so here we can see through AU Finn Mertons exactly what Simon Petrikov must have went through…
The Lich has been rendered virtually useless, unless he chooses to wander the multiverse to return to Ooo on his own.
So, after the Season 4 finale, I typed up some theories about what the Season 5 premiere would bring to the table.
I thought that the “realistic” world that we saw at the end of “The Lich” was some kind of Alpha world, or a world of great power.
Boy, was I wrong!
So now, I thought of some new…
I think what got to me more was that by seeing Finn’s reaction to the crown we can just imagine Simon’s. But with Simon it was different. He understood what was happening to him and he hated it and he fought as hard as he could but he lost.
Oh god and what Finn was saying when he had the crown on and how he talked to the destiny gang after the explosion.
Also the fact that Marceline stood by Simon for so long. Their life’s are always linked no matter the realm.
Just. Everything. Jesus.
