Went to go Christmas shopping, ended up becoming a fan….

of Blood Lad. Oh my gosh, it so reminds me (you’ve probably already heard this already - but, oh well) so much of Ao No Exorcist and Soul Eater. It’s like they combined together to make one story. Or, had a love child.

It’s funny, because, his [the main character - Staz] clothes and his personality are exactly like Rin Okumura - his clothes are very similar, he’s an otaku, he looks like him, talks like him, has lots of facial expressions, he’s a demon, and the like.

He has some of Soul Eater Evans’ personality, however, only very little honestly. I don’t see too much of him in Staz.

Anyways, the story behind this is that I went to Barnes&Noble with some of my friends today to go Christmas shopping as a part of the trip and of course we landed into the Manga section. After some searching through the section for a while, I landed on Blood Lad. I read a chapter or two, and, I instantly had fallen in love with it and bought the very first volume. It’s awesome, and, I can’t wait to collect the entire series.

Unfortunately, though, it has only has about 28 chapters ( I think?) so there’s not much content. And, it’s already been green-lit for an Anime series next season. I had fallen in love with the Ao No Exorcist Manga about a month or two before it came out as an Anime series. However, it had the same amount of Manga chapters as Blood Lad at the time, and then the Anime series turned out to be great until the beach episode and it went downhill from there then had a preeeeeeeetty bad Anime-original ending. So, I’m thinking to keep Blood Lad in my “only read” pile of series. It’s too good to feel depressed about how the Anime turned out like I was in the end with AnE

I might end up watching the trailer+first episode to see if I do like it and then see how everyone likes it after a few episodes are aired.
